Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about CLAQON

The questions we are asked most often about CLAQON, with straight answers: what it does and does not do, what you need to install it, how you pay, where it publishes, how it verifies and what happens to your data.

Product

The product

What is CLAQON?

Software that you install on your machine (Windows or Linux, with Docker) or on a server in your name to produce and publish informational video on your channels. It follows an 18-stage workflow – idea, research, verification, script, quality control, voice, editing, publishing and learning – and lets you see and control every step and every cost. See how it works.

Who is it for?

For professionals and businesses that run 1 to 5 informational channels – business, technology, business history or education – on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook or X, and that want rigour and controlled spending. We are starting with operators in Spain and Mexico. See the use cases.

What types of video does it produce?

Vertical shorts of 30 to 180 seconds and, in beta, horizontal long videos of 4 to 12 minutes. There are 13 video types: among them, practical explanation, step-by-step guide, criteria-based comparison, case study, annotated list and narrated story, as well as your own captioned video, direct publishing from Drive and editing in the Studio. It does not generate screen demos, films, podcasts or ASMR.

What does CLAQON not do today?

It does not publish to TikTok, it has a single user per installation, it renders on the CPU one video at a time, it has no public API or mobile app, it does not reframe to follow faces and it offers no dubbing or voice cloning. We tell you here so that you know before you apply for a place. Compare with other tools.

Do I need to know how to code?

Not for day-to-day work. The panel comes with guides in Spanish, English and Portuguese, many with a “Do it with me” mode, and a diagnosis that explains why a video did not go out. Installation does require Docker, keys and connections with Google and Meta; that is why we offer the done-for-you setup.

Installation

Installation and requirements

Which systems can CLAQON be installed on?

On Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, with Docker Desktop (Linux containers on WSL) or on Debian or Ubuntu Linux (x64 or arm64), on your machine or on a server in your name. There is currently no installer for macOS.

What software and hardware do I need?

Docker with a local engine and Node.js 22.12 or later; we recommend Node 24 LTS. On Debian and Ubuntu, the installer can install Node and Docker for you. You also need at least 20 GB of free disk space, an Internet connection and ports 3000, 5678, 8090 and 8081 free. The installer adjusts the memory and cores of the render engine to whatever Docker has available on your machine.

Does the machine have to be switched on?

Yes: CLAQON only produces while the machine is switched on. If a slot falls at a time when you usually have it switched off, it brings the slot forward to the last useful moment and explains why, and the daily check tells you what did not go out. If you do not want to depend on your PC, install it on a server in your name.

Why do I need a domain with HTTPS or a tunnel?

To connect the platforms. The authorisation callbacks (OAuth) and the public legal pages that the platforms ask for need a public HTTPS address: a domain of yours published through a secure tunnel, for example Cloudflare’s, or a server. Without one, you will only be able to connect Google from the machine itself.

Which keys and accounts do I need to get?

At a minimum, an AI model (a provider’s key or a local model) and a free Pexels key for stock clips. To publish: a Google app for YouTube and Drive; a Meta app with an Instagram professional account linked to a Facebook Page; and, if you publish to X, a developer app with a paid plan. A Tavily key for finding sources, ElevenLabs and the AI image or video providers are optional.

Can I install it myself?

Yes, with the Windows and Linux installers, which check the requirements and verify every file in the package. They are in beta: the Windows installer is still missing its final test on a freshly installed machine, and the Linux one has not yet been verified on a real machine. If you would rather not wrestle with Docker, OAuth and keys, book the done-for-you setup.

Costs

Costs and licence

How do you pay for CLAQON?

With a licence per installation based on the channels you run (Essential, Professional and Agency plans), with annual or monthly billing and add-ons for the modules your plan does not include. Services, such as the done-for-you setup, are paid separately, and you pay each of your providers directly for what they consume, with your own keys. The indicative launch prices are on the pricing page; it is not on sale yet: pre-register and we will send you a written proposal.

Are there credits or per-video charges?

No. CLAQON does not resell credits or charge per piece. You pay each provider for what you use, at their price, and CLAQON estimates the cost, reserves it before spending and stops it with your caps per video, per day and per month. Spend control.

How much does it cost to produce each video?

It depends on what you enable. With a local model, local voices, free stock clips and rendering on your machine, the variable cost can be close to zero. If you enable paid voice, image or video, CLAQON shows you the estimated cost before spending and limits it with your caps. Guide: the real cost of an AI short.

Is what “Spend this month” shows an invoice?

No. They are usage estimates calculated with each provider’s rates, each one with its source and date; the invoice is the one from each provider. If any known spending does not go through the log yet, the month is not declared complete and the card flags it. This card is in beta.

What happens if I do not renew the licence?

You keep the installed version and your data. You stop receiving signed updates, new generators and support. The emergency exits, such as restoring a backup or cancelling a move, never depend on the licence.

Publishing

Publishing and platforms

Which platforms does CLAQON publish to?

Video on YouTube (Shorts and long-form), Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels and X. With Tinta, in beta and off by default, also text posts on Threads, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, X, Facebook and Instagram. Multi-platform publishing.

Does it publish to TikTok?

No. The code exists, but publishing to TikTok is disabled until the app audit has been completed. If your channel lives on TikTok, CLAQON is not for you today.

Why are my YouTube videos left private?

Because YouTube keeps videos uploaded through the API private when they come from a Google project that has not passed its audit. CLAQON detects this in the check it runs afterwards and lets you know, but it cannot prevent it: you need to request the YouTube API audit for your project. In the meantime, you can make them public from YouTube Studio.

Can I review a video before it is published?

Yes. Produce in draft mode, review the edit and publish it by hand from the storyboard, choosing the destinations. In direct publishing from Drive, in beta, you can choose manual approval. The factory’s “Pieces awaiting your approval” queue is in preparation: today, approving a piece there does not publish it yet.

Quality

Quality and verification

How does CLAQON check the facts?

It researches before writing and only accepts excerpts that appear verbatim in the source, are on topic and are of valid length. Then the deterministic HARD QC check requires 100/100: it rejects figures that are not in the evidence, unsupported absolutes and claims without a source. If it fails, it attempts a targeted repair and, if that is not enough, it holds the script for review before spending on voice. Source verification.

Does CLAQON guarantee there will be no errors?

No. No automatic check can do that. CLAQON rejects whatever is not supported by the evidence, but the coverage score out of 100 does not predict quality or audience, and a wrong source can lead to a wrong fact. For sensitive topics, review the piece in draft mode.

What happens when a video does not go out?

The piece stops before spending on the next stage and the panel tells you why, with one of the 65 documented causes and its fix. If an action is needed from you, it appears under “Needs attention” with its own button. A publication with an uncertain outcome is never retried on its own.

Data

Data, security and compliance

Where are my data and my videos stored?

On your machine or on your server. Account and provider credentials are stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM and are not sent back to the browser, and backups are encrypted by default. To publish to Instagram and Facebook, the final video is uploaded to your own Google Drive and shared through a link so that the platform can download it. Security and privacy.

Do you receive my videos or my keys?

No. CLAQON does not need a cloud of ours to work: it talks directly to your providers and to the platforms. The only thing a licensed installation sends, periodically, is a short technical report: version, system, number of accounts, whether production is active, the dates of the last backup and update, and the name, company and contact details you enter for your installation. No content and no keys. If we provide remote support, we do so under a data processing agreement.

Does CLAQON disclose the use of AI on the platforms?

On YouTube, yes: when any scene is a generated image or video, it marks the piece as synthetic content; synthetic voice alone does not trigger this. Each render also leaves a provenance record with the IPTC digital source type. It does not embed C2PA or XMP metadata in the video, and on other platforms labelling depends on their own tools. CLAQON gives you tools, but you are responsible for what you publish. Guide to labelling AI-made content.

What does it do with real people who appear in a script?

If an AI-generated scene names a person, the real-people guard warns you by default or, if you choose, switches the scene to stock clips or asks for a non-photorealistic illustration. It is a heuristic that looks for proper names, not a foolproof filter. Compliance record.

Early access

Early access programme

What is the early access programme?

It is the way to get started with CLAQON today: a limited number of places with a supported installation, because each one requires setting up the machine, keys and connections. We are opening it first to professionals and businesses in Spain and Mexico. For now, we do not offer it to individuals.

What do I need to apply for a place?

You need to invoice as a professional or a business, with a tax ID (an NIF in Spain, an RFC in Mexico or the equivalent), and to run, or want to run, informational channels. In the form we ask how many channels you manage, where you publish and what producing costs you today. Apply for a place.

What happens after I send the application?

We read it and reply by email: with questions, with a written proposal or with a reasoned “not yet”. If it fits, we talk to go through your case calmly before installing anything.

Still have questions?

Ask us anything that is not covered here

If your question is not here, write to us. And if you have already made up your mind, apply for your place in the early access programme.
