BetaStream clips
Twitch and Kick clips turned into vertical videos
CLAQON collects Twitch and Kick clips that have already been created – through the Twitch API or from a Google Drive folder – edits them in vertical format with captions and hands them to the publisher with a record in your spreadsheet. It is only for material you hold the rights to. It is in beta, off and pending verification with real material.
- Up to 4 zones stacked vertically
- Logged in your sheet’s “Clips” tab
- Rights confirmed before activation
What it solves
From stream clip to vertical video, with no manual steps
A stream clip is horizontal and almost always mixes the streamer’s camera, the game and the chat. Converting it to vertical, captioning it, writing its texts and keeping track of what has been published are repetitive steps that eat up the afternoon.
This feature discovers the clips, edits them through the Room’s captioning pipeline, crops the zones you care about and records each one in the account’s log sheet before publishing.

How it works
How the clips room is set up
Choose the account type
“Twitch clips” or “Kick clips”, with Drive and Sheets connected, plus the account’s video folder and log sheet.
Choose the intake
A “Clips” subfolder in Drive, which works for both sources, or the Twitch API with a one-step connection, if you are the broadcaster or an authorised editor of the channel.
Fill in the channel and the rights
The channel’s name and link, the call to action for each clip and confirmation of the rights, the use of the audio and the destinations.
Choose the mode and activate
Automatic or semi-automatic, with your explicit consent. Intake is paused by default.
Each clip follows its path
It is edited in vertical format with captions, logged in the sheet’s “Clips” tab and passed to the publisher. If logging fails, publication is not authorised.
Capabilities
What it does with each clip
- Drive intake
- A “Clips” subfolder inside the account’s video folder. It is the route for Kick and also works for Twitch.
- Twitch API
- A one-step connection with clip management permissions. It downloads clips through the official method, not full streams.
- Automatic mode
- It discovers, edits, proposes texts, logs and hands over to the publisher. The rights, safety and budget checks are not skipped.
- Semi-automatic mode
- You only confirm the title and the description. The suggestions come from the transcript or the file name: they do not make up what happens in the clip.
- Zone framing
- You mark up to 4 zones of the horizontal video (camera, game, chat) and they are stacked in the vertical one. For each clip you choose which ones are shown.
- Log in your sheet
- The “Clips” tab of the account’s log sheet, with an Excel download. No tokens or credentials.
- Daily limits
- 1 to 25 clips started per day (UTC). Clips of up to 500 MiB and 10 minutes, with a history of 10,000 clips per account.
- Cautious queue
- One operation at a time per account. A partial or uncertain publication blocks the queue and is not resent on its own.
Limits
Limits worth knowing about
- It is in beta, off and pending verification with real material: there is not yet any verified real publication.
- You need rights to the material: you confirm the authorisation, the use of the audio and the destinations before activating.
- It does not look for highlights in full recorded streams (VODs): it works with clips that already exist.
- There is no official download from Kick: its clips only come in through Drive.
- It does not schedule by slots: the daily limit counts clips started, not publishing times.
- The zones are fixed rectangles: they do not follow the camera or detect the camera or the game by themselves.
- Deduplication does not recognise the same content uploaded under another identifier.
- The Google connection is needed even if the intake is Twitch, because the log goes in your sheet.
- YouTube keeps videos uploaded through the API private until your Google project passes its audit.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about Twitch and Kick clips
Can I use clips from any Twitch channel?
Only if you have the rights to edit them, reuse their audio and publish them. The room asks you to confirm this before activating. With the Twitch API, you also have to be the channel’s broadcaster or an authorised editor.
Does it download full streams to look for the highlights?
No. It works with clips that already exist, of up to 10 minutes. To cut shorts from a long video of your own there is Shorts from a long video.
How does it work with Kick?
Through Google Drive: you drop the clips in the “Clips” subfolder of the account’s video folder. There is no official download from Kick.
What is the difference between automatic and semi-automatic mode?
In automatic mode, the clip is edited, logged and passed to the publisher with the proposed texts. In semi-automatic mode, the edit is prepared in the same way, but publication waits until you confirm the title and the description.
Where can I see what has been published?
In the “Clips” tab of the account’s log sheet, which you can also download as Excel, and in Uploads, where you check the result for each destination.
