# Acceptable use policy

CLAQON automates video production and publishing. This policy sets out what may not be done with it, in your installation and on your channels, and what happens in the event of a breach.

In force since 13 October 2026

Planned terms for when CLAQON goes on sale. Today the website only takes pre-registrations: it does not sell or charge anything. If you do sign up, we will give you the contract before you sign, and that contract is what will bind you.

Courtesy translation: in case of discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails. [Español](https://claqon.com/legal/uso-aceptable/)

This acceptable use policy forms part of the CLAQON [licence](https://claqon.com/en/legal/license/). It applies to the licensee and to anyone who uses their installation. Automation does not change responsibility: what your installation publishes, you publish.

## What you may not do with CLAQON

### Deceiving or spreading disinformation

- Publishing content you know to be false or misleading, inventing data, sources or quotes, or presenting unsupported claims as facts.
- Spreading disinformation on matters of public interest, such as elections, health or emergencies.
- Passing off advertising content as informational without identifying it as such.

### Impersonating people or creating deepfakes without consent

- Impersonating real people, brands or organisations, or making others believe you are speaking on their behalf.
- Creating deepfakes: images, audio or videos that make it appear that a real person says or does something they did not say or do, without their consent. Even with consent, not without the visible information required by law and by the platforms.
- Using the image or voice of real people without a legal basis for doing so.

### Sexual content, content involving minors, hate or harassment

- Sexual or pornographic content.
- Any content that sexualises minors, puts them at risk or shows them without the necessary authorisations. This prohibition admits no exceptions.
- Content that incites hatred, violence or discrimination, or that harasses, threatens or humiliates people or groups.

### Spam and platform manipulation

- Flooding the platforms with repetitive or interchangeable videos, mass-produced without any contribution of your own. YouTube calls this inauthentic content and Meta calls it unoriginal content; it can leave your channel without monetisation or without reach. We explain it in the guide on [inauthentic content](https://claqon.com/en/resources/youtube-inauthentic-content/).
- Faking engagement (bought or automated views, followers, comments or likes), coordinating accounts to simulate support or creating accounts to evade penalties or limits.
- Circumventing the platforms’ API quotas or limits, for example by spreading the same usage across several projects.

### Infringing copyright and other rights

- Using videos, music, images, texts or voices without the rights or outside the scope of their licence, or removing watermarks and credits.
- Commenting on third-party videos without authorisation. The Commentary Room (beta) requires a rights record for each third-party video; falsifying it is prohibited.
- Ignoring rights claims or answering them with false information.

### Breaking the rules of platforms and providers

- Breaching the terms of YouTube, Meta, X, AI providers or any other service you connect.
- Failing to disclose synthetic content where the platform or the law requires it. The [AI transparency](https://claqon.com/en/legal/ai-transparency/) page explains how CLAQON helps you.

### Promising income to others

- Using CLAQON to promise other people income, views or monetisation, or to sell “automatic channels” as a business opportunity.
- Using CLAQON pieces or data as proof of results you cannot demonstrate. Consumer authorities in the European Union and the United States take action against this kind of promise.

### Misusing the software

- Using a licence on more than one installation, circumventing licence checks or reselling CLAQON without a distribution agreement.
- Using CLAQON to attack systems, collect personal data without a legal basis or send unsolicited communications.

## Controls that help, without replacing your responsibility

CLAQON includes controls that reduce these risks. None of them, on its own, guarantees that you comply with the law or with each platform’s rules:

- **Source-based verification.** The script can only rely on verbatim excerpts from the source, and a deterministic check rejects unsupported figures and absolutes. See [source verification](https://claqon.com/en/features/source-verification/).
- **Similarity check.** It compares each piece with the account’s previous 30 and warns you if it repeats itself. It only warns: it does not block.
- **Real-people guard.** It detects proper names in generated scenes and warns you. It is a heuristic.
- **Synthetic content disclosure on YouTube** when any scene is a generated image or video.
- **AI characters (beta), fictional only.** The module does not allow real people, and its own styles prohibit minors, sex and violence.
- **Rights record (beta)** in the Commentary Room, which blocks the use of a third-party video without proof of permission, with an expired record or with minors.
- **Publishing barrier.** A piece marked as a test is never published, and a stopped account blocks all publishing.

More details in [compliance record](https://claqon.com/en/features/compliance-record/).

## What happens in the event of a breach

- We will ask you in writing to correct the misuse and to remove any published content that breaches this policy, giving you 15 days to do so.
- If you do not correct it within that period, or if the breach is serious, for example a deepfake of a real person or unlawful content, we may stop providing you with support and updates and terminate the contract. We will do so in writing, through the channels provided in the contract.
- We will never use remote technical suspension for a breach of this policy: the [licence](https://claqon.com/en/legal/license/#suspension) reserves it for non-payment.
- If the law requires us to, we will cooperate with the authorities.

## How to report misuse to us

If you believe someone is using CLAQON in breach of this policy, write to us at soporte@claqon.com with the links and evidence you have. Bear in mind that we do not host the videos: each operator publishes them on their own channels. To have a specific piece of content removed, also report it on the platform where it is published.
